FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE Partnership
Enables Delivery of Rich, Interactive Enterprise Gartner Symposium/ITxpo
- Oct. 8, 2002 - Unify Corporation (OTC System: UNFY), a leading
provider of business application platform solutions, today announced
broad partner support from 25 leading companies for Unify NXJÔ.
Unify NXJ is a first-of-its kind business application platform that
unifies, automates and orchestrates the building and extending of enterprise
self-service applications using the Java 2 Enterprise EditionÔ
(J2EE) platform. Unify partners play an integral role in the design
and testing of the platform. Unify NXJ Design
Partners include industry leading organizations including Triple G,
MySoft, Symphony, COMTEC, SE Software, Net Team, PFU, Cast & Crew,
A.M. Associates, Sistemi, Axia, Computer House, eGroupBenefits, System
Orico, Arsin Corporation, Capital Commerce, Wired Capital, A.I.R. and
Tier Technologies. Building momentum for Unify NXJ, these new partners
supplement Unify's existing 300 application partners around the world. "We are excited
to work with Unify and be a part of the Unify NXJ Design Partner program,"
said Gregory Palmer, president of Capital Commerce, an enterprise Java
application development firm in Springfield, Va. "I have been looking
for a solution that allows me to get applications built quickly in Java.
With Unify NXJ, I was able to get a prototype application built in J2EE
faster than with any other products I've looked at on the market. Unify
NXJ automates a lot of the functionality that developers usually have
to hand code when building applications, thus significantly reducing
development time." "From our
review of Unify NXJ, we believe it will help us solve our clients' challenges
of decreasing time to market and creating a richer, interactive end
user experience," said Dale Lampson, vice president of business
development, Arsin Corporation, a leading Bay Area solutions integrator
and test automation firm. "Additionally, the training and technical
support that we've received from Unify has been world-class. They are
a very customer and partner friendly company, and we are looking forward
to future projects with Unify." "Over the
past year, we have witnessed the pain our customers have faced in building
highly interactive applications on the J2EE platform," said Dave
Glende, vice president of products and CTO of Unify. "We purpose-built
Unify NXJ to cater to the skills and expertise of mainstream IT organizations
as they build a new generation of Web applications on the J2EE platform.
With the support of our 25 design partners, we were able to ensure that
the product delivers on its promise of allowing business application
developers to deliver J2EE applications faster and with a rich, interactive
user experience." Unify NXJ augments
the "click and wait" architecture of the Web with ActiveWebÔ
capabilities. ActiveWeb quickly delivers and manages rich transactions
and dynamic, event-driven processes providing a highly interactive user
experience. Information delivery within Unify NXJ applications is dynamic
and without page refreshes, offering the client/server application experience
in a Web browser. "Technically
speaking, the biggest step forward is the ability to work within a single
HTML page with master/detail relationships, as well as the capability
of opening multiple database connections," commented Paolo Ascari,
president of Web Corporate, a Computer House subsidiary based in Italy.
