INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Sacramento, CA)

Position Description:

We need a top notch inside salesperson to nurture and close sales opportunities throughout the United States. This is a great opportunity for personal and career growth in a team environment where professionalism, competency and capability are required and where over-achievement is rewarded.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory

  • Turn qualified leads into satisfied customers

Candidate must exhibit:

  • The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in an Inside Sales role.
  • All candidates should have a track record of building highly effective interpersonal relationships in business partnering situations.
  • Abilities to work as part of a team and communicate information effectively are essential.
  • Must be comfortable discussing a wide array of products and technologies, and at ease interacting with highly trained technology professionals.
  • Ability to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; read and interpret complex information; talk with customers or clients; listen well.
  • Ability to obtain agreement from multiple parties; earn trust while working out a deal; use good timing and carefully calculated strategies when bargaining; communicate high value of services; identify hidden agendas that might interfere with resolution of terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with accounts' senior management and across functions within customer organizations to gain commitment, obtain resources and achieve desired results.

Skills/Requirements:

Compensation:

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Position Description:

Responsible for the direct sale of the company's products or services. Calls on prospective customers, provides technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices. Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, product line or channel.

Other Responsibilities:

This field account sales representative is responsible for providing leadership to the sales and account management process and growing Unify's revenues.

The job represents a balanced customer relationship management effort involving sales/account management skills, product knowledge and problem-solving/solution skills, and direction of other specialized resources assigned to the account.

Successful candidate will meet with key executives at potential customer organizations and sell proposals internally and externally, and drive deals to closure.

Candidate must exhibit:

  • All candidates should have a track record of building highly effective interpersonal relationships in business partnering situations.

  • Abilities to work as part of a team and communicate information effectively are essential.

  • History of achievement of revenue objectives

  • Existing software industry relationships a plus

  • BA/BS or equivalent

ENTERPRISE JAVA DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (Sacramento, CA.)

Responsibilities:

Work with a very talented and dynamic development team to develop adaptive enterprise applications that run on the J2EE platform at the Unify, Sacramento Technology Center. These business applications will include Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Reporting, Portal integration, complex form designs and enterprise application integration. This position requires the engineer to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical and functional problems. Must be able to meet aggressive timelines and work on multiple projects at one time.

Qualifications:

Must have 3+ years of relevant experience in the software application industry. Direct experience with J2EE programming and architecture, Java, JSP, EJB, Portlets, LDAP, Active Directory, Web Services, XML, HTML, DHTML, C, open systems concepts, database management, Unix and Windows operating systems.

Educational Requirements:

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER (Sacramento, CA)

Responsibilities:

Works directly with customer to maximize their success with Unify products including; resolution of moderate to highly complex issues related to maintenance, use, and workarounds for Unify products in multiple customer environments.

Qualifications:

BS degree or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience in the software industry. Strong client relations skills and excellent communication skills. Ability to form effective relationship with the client that raises the level of customer satisfaction with Unify products and support. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly. Knowledge of Client/Server Computing application architecture, open systems concepts, database management, Java, C, JSP, HTML, Unix and Windows operating systems.

UBS FELLOWSHIP POSTING (Sacramento, CA.)

Unify Business Solutions (UBS), a division of Unify Corporation - a global enterprise software company - is accepting applications for its UBS Fellowship Program in Sacramento, Calif.

The UBS Fellowship Program is a 10-week program that gives students an opportunity to learn firsthand how entrepreneurial startups are run and how business partnerships are created. The Fellowship Program is open to enrolled students from institutions such as UC Davis and the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy. Two students will be selected to participate in the fall program.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Researching potential verticals - Identify micro and macro market drivers, delineate industry trends, etc.
  • Profiling target ISVs and competitors - Assist with competitive segmentation and analysis.
  • Developing initial relationships with key executive contacts - Identify appropriate contacts and initiate calls.

Fellows will also have an opportunity to conduct comparative partnership studies and assist with other vertical market intelligence research.

Qualified fellows candidate should:

  • Possess superb phone etiquette and perseverance
  • Have an interest in learning about software and ISVs
  • Be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment

Fellowship activities will help drive partnering activities and programs. Fellows will work directly with the UBS Partnership Development Manager and General Manager.

Compensation:

Fellows will be compensated $9 per hour and are asked to commit 12-15 hours per week. Internship units may be obtained if desired.
