at Luther Burbank High School, students can sometimes
experience challenges or problems that go beyond the classroom.
If you are student that feels you are having issues in
life that are preventing your academic progress, or is
detrimental to your physical, mental or emotional health,
we strongly suggest that you speak with your advocate
teacher, or another staff member, so we can direct you
to the appropriate support resources.
If,
however, you feel too uncomfortable to speak about the
situation with your advocate teacher, or another staff
member, we have listed both school and community agencies
that are here to help.
Remember,
as a high school student, your first duty is to your
academic success. Academic progress can be nearly impossible
however if you are overwhelmed by negative aspects in
your life. Don't be afraid to reach out for help, it
could make all the difference!
